Someone please explain to me why the public and politicians are more alarmed about the industry on the left than they are about the industry on the right.

Do those Bloomberg-captured groups (or FDA Tobacco for that matter) care that the vast majority of the public (including doctors!) have been misled on the issue and thus deceived into rejecting safer alternatives to cigarettes? Narrator: They do not.

Question for NYT / AP / Reuters / Politico: Why do you suppose so many former top officials from the prohibition groups you so often quote are speaking out against those hardline policies? Do you think that might help readers understand what's really going on here?
