Hard to overstate how unlike AWS this deal is (the company is far more likely to build than to buy or OEM), which is a good sign the company has the proper level of seriousness about AI. Hopefully the partnership will succeed so AWS will do more like this wsj.com/business/deals…

Storage requirements aren’t that wild. One parallel file system, one “AI optimized storage.” 720 PiB + 16 PiB (ish) 4.5 TB/s + “you tell me” TB/s Not very prescriptive. Lots of room for innovation from vendors.
