This free birthday Welfare Rights Bulletin has two REALLY useful articles for anyone doing welfare rights advice: (p9) how to use judicial review pre action letters effectively, to sort out clients’ problems; (p4) how to spot potential ‘test cases’, and what to do when you have!

Not again! I have NOT given my permission to be used in political adverts. This is NOT an endorsement by me in any way. I maintain strict party neutrality and am unhappy at the weaponizing of my reputation in this way. While this isn't as bad as the first terrible representation

Our thoughts are with our immigration colleagues who we understand are being targeted in the riots. We have been told that police have advised some offices to close. If anyone needs any books or access to the magazine please let LAG know & we will provide it free. Stay safe x

If I can give any SLT any advice… Don’t ask a member of staff to “pop by your office for a chat” That triggers people. Please give us the context and the reason and we’ll oblige. Staff trauma is a thing…

We can't stand by & accept violence against women & girls. Our thoughts are with the young victim of yesterday’s attack & her family, not forgetting those of the Southport murders. Acts of #VAWG are overwhelmingly committed by men & we must address this as the emergency it is.

Yesterday I saw Angela Rayner on the train to Manchester, today I think I saw Neil MacInnes OBE outside the library (he kindly gave a brilliant talk at @SuffolkLibrary last year) #Manchester #heroes #DidntSpeakToSayThankYou

Naomi Hunte was killed by her partner despite going to the police about his violence. While being investigated for her murder he started seeing Fiona Holm. She also made multiple reports. The police did nothing. Within 16 months he killed both of them. thetimes.com/article/fb884b…
