The right to discuss working conditions with your colleagues/bosses is fundamentally protected under the NLRA. The San Francisco Chronicle, a NEWS org, has issued a gag order against a San Francisco Chronicle Guild steward, preventing them from discussing working conditions with their bosses by email or slack.
#BREAKING: The journalists at the Bozeman Daily Chronicle move to unionize, ask Adams MultiMedia for voluntary recognition #protectlocalnews #UnionStrong The NewsGuild-CWA Bozeman Daily Chronicle

Today’s layoffs by Randall Smith’s Alden Global Capital of non-union colleagues at the South Florida Sun Sentinel is an attack on Florida journalism and democracy. It brings into focus why we unionized to fight @TribPub — to make sure our communities get the news we all need.
We're going into contract negotiations today to finally solidify a fair contract. Our goals are to obtain equitable wages, ensure more paid parental leave and protecting members in hazardous situations with detailed language. Follow along for more! #unionstrong PacificMediaWorkers
