This male Ring Ouzel was a great find mid morning by Malcurtin in the fields at Higher Marston marburypatch. Only a couple of hundred metres from the last in April 2021 and first this year in Cheshire & Wirral I think. Cheshire & Wirral Ornithological Society C & W BIRD NEWS

A good start to our Dipper monitoring, 5 nests with warm eggs and 3 nests still being completed. 5 females caught, 1 new and 3 from previous years along this stretch. 1 from a nest on the Bollin in her 6th year. ⁦Cheshire & Wirral Ornithological Society⁩ ⁦C & W BIRD NEWS⁩ #gottoloveDippers

Great find by whoever found this afternoons Savi’s Warbler at Burton Mere Wetlands RSPB. 10 minutes from home but couldn’t get there until this evening. County tick for me. Volume right up - it’s faint!

Pec sand showed well today from Carr Lane Pools, Cheshire, better than yesterday. Wood sand also present along with a Temminck’s stint which was seen several times today but not while I was there. BirdGuides Cheshire & Wirral Ornithological Society C & W BIRD NEWS austinmorley.blogspot.co.uk

The male White-spotted Bluethroat, ringed by Kieran Foster at Woolston Eyes this morning, was in heavy moult and may well stick around for a while. Only the second ever record for Cheshire & Wirral, the first was also from the Reserve in July 1996! Dan Owen
