At 34, I embarked on the grueling journey to become a doctor. Specialty training was relentless, pushing my mental limits. Financial and personal sacrifices piled up. Now, at 52, I’m finally a consultant of 3 months. I could have been an AA, but I fought for it the RIGHT way!

A decent article about the exact issue Anaesthetists United will be arguing against the GMC at The High Court this week! Their abject failure to safely set scope for associates And just for funsies, who’s good at spot the difference 👇 #AUvsGMC

I find this hilarious. 18 months ago I vocalised to nursing workforce leading academics that the PA role has a downward pressure on ANPs and nurses I was told that wasn’t the case Today the The RCN and shows concern for PA role on ANPs 🤣

Somehow a lot of folks have got together And managed to create a narrative that being a doctor of medicine is elitist and one must avoid such titles Nah. You worked hard, you did the hard yards, you are trained beyond what others are Feel proud to be a Doctor Remember

⏳ 8 days until the ballot opens ⏳ £17 an hour. That's what doctors are valued at in England. £17/hr after 5 years of training. £17/hr with £100,000 of student debt. £17/hr to save your life. £23/hr is what we need to restore our pay. #DoctorsStrike #PayRestoration

“I’ve spent 5 years in medical training and then 3 years in GP training. And I have struggled to find employment” Dr Cheska Ball – BMA GP Reg Committee co-Chair – shares why we need to #endGPunemployment now.

Fixed it for you. The BMA is asking for pay restoration over a number of years. Even after doctors pay is restored, they will still start on less than their assistants already start on.

Front page of the The Times and The Sunday Times Shaun Lintern except the headline is COMPLETELY fabricated. As confirmed by both of the interviewees Dr Ross Nieuwoudt Dr Melissa Ryan 🦀 (& admitted by Shaun Lintern) they (nor The BMA) did NOT threaten to "bring the NHS to a standstill". RT if you agree

Misleading headlines, the disrespect of calling resident doctors 'junior' after I directly and specifically asked Shaun Lintern to refer to us by our proper title. Once again, no one is surprised. This is the level of journalism we have come to expect. Pitiful.

I will point it out again, one of the running themes of this entire saga has been medical leaders saying 'this is just the way things are, suck it up', without the credibility or authority to make such statements. We should be both cautious and suspicious when we hear it.

It’s happening!! The BMA is creating a new register for only doctors! A new register leading the way to a new regulator! Sign up! activism.bma.org.uk/page/172664/pe… #BMAARM25

When attacked, some crabs will form into a defensive formation. Hard-shelled crab species will huddle together, creating a living citadel and armoured fortress. You have this weekend to post back your ballot. Our colleagues are paid £10,000 less than their own assistants.

We fought for safety. But we still need to pay the lawyers who fought for us. We are about £15,000 short. The reasons are at anaesthetistsunited.com/we-fought-for-…

He doesn't get it because he hasn't lived it. He also appears to believe that economic conditions happen like pandemics and governments have no choices in crises. Ladder pulling bosses have screwed us over for far too long. Time to fight back. #DoctorsStrike #WinTogether

This is outrageous Partha S Kar 🇮🇳🇬🇧🏏🎥 has done a tremendous job standing up against many who have attempted to sell out UK healthcare for their own benefit. Royal College of Physicians will need to have extremely strong justification for this move.
