Nats Debate news: Ali and Sophia win their first break round and will debate again tomorrow. One more tonight.

North Coast Brown had a stellar trips round. Picked up a 3-0 ballot (sorry Mr. Snook no meatloaf!) and had a judge who called the round the "most awesome round" he had seen in the tournament. So we are debating in the round of 32 at 8 AM sharp. I gotta go find some coffee.

Congratulations, Sophia!! Just won the Plain Dealer Standout Award for Debate!

Sophia will be bringing some hardware home from Louisville, Ky after being awarded the award as the 6th best speaker in LD Debate- Congrats!!

Ali will also be making room in the trophy case, finishing 11th in the country - Great job!!! Sophia finishes 13th - these two ladies BOTH finished in the top 14 in the country two years in a row. Amazing!!! Congrats to coach Corinne Lashley and Ken Kasee 👏👏
