On this #WorldCancerDay, remember that: - Cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease in kids in the US - Over 300,000 children will be diagnosed w/ cancer this year worldwide It is an honor & privilege to help care for kids with cancer, but I wish they didn't need us ❤️

In the last month, 420 children in the United States developed multisystem inflammatory syndrome due to COVID and 4 died. Vaccination is 91% effective in preventing #MISC. #KidsLivingWithCovid

Grateful for pediatric colleagues and practices that stand up for our kids and our community. We will get to a place and time when we no longer need masks, but that time is not now!

Be mindful that there are many among us who are immune compromised and in many cases, (even in our kids fighting cancer) they don’t look ill.
