The 1300 years old Leshan Giant Buddha is a 71m tall stone statue, built between 713-803 (during Tang dynasty). Carved out of a cliff face of Cretaceous red bed sandstones that lies at confluence of Min River and Dadu River in southern part of Sichuan province near Leshan, China.
