BREAKING: The Supreme Court ruled that the state’s 1864 total ban (yes, you read that right) can take effect, superseding a 15-week ban that is already disrupting access to care.

Let's be clear: this is a devastating violation of reproductive autonomy.

Don't let anyone ever tell you America is split on abortion rights:

A new poll shows that 81% of voters don't want abortion regulated by the government, but decided between a patient & doctor.

Abortion is back before the Supreme Court today.

Let's not forget: mifepristone is safe, effective, and essential to equitable abortion access. We've fought hard to expand access in Massachusetts and we won't go back.

Even in states like Massachusetts with expanded abortion access, there are gaps in reproductive health care for young people.

Giving birth shouldn't put anyone into debt, but pregnant people face thousands of dollars in out-of-pockets costs during childbirth, even when they have insurance. This bill, proposed by Cindy Friedman, will help make pregnancy care more accessible.

For far too long, young people have been excluded and stigmatized when it comes to abortion.

No one should be forced into a maze-like court system, have to give up their privacy, and go in front of a judge who holds veto power over their care.

The Kate Cox story is horrendous, but also commonplace. Since Dobbs, thousands of people in nearly identical circumstances have been forced to travel for abortion (or wait until their health fails). Cox is special only bc of her incredible bravery & strength to sue WHILE pregnant

This should not be our reality. Kate Cox and other Texans deserve access to lifesaving, critical care in their home state. It should be as simple as that.

UPDATE: After a week of legal whiplash and threats of prosecution from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, our client Kate Cox has been forced to flee her home state of Texas to get the time-sensitive abortion care needed to protect her health and future fertility.

'While states like Massachusetts have really strong protections, there’s still laws on the books that make barriers to care. So that’s our number one priority here in Massachusetts — making abortion more accessible.' Dominique Lee, MBA, MPH wbur.org/news/2023/12/0…

Today we lost the incredible John Walsh. His memory lives forever in the legions of us he inspired, taught and cared about.

I was so lucky to be one of John's political 'kids.' I believed in myself because John believed in me first. He always picked up my call on hard days and cheered me on. The only thing he ever asked in return was that I pay it forward. John, we all love you & are in your debt🩷

Every single woman in has a story like this about John telling them over breakfast that they were ready for bigger things when we were just asking for advice on a field plan. Impossible to say how much he’ll be missed ❤️

Tonight, Ohioans overwhelmingly voted YES on Issue 1, a ballot measure to protect abortion rights in the state.

Ohio became the latest state to make it clear: Patients — not politicians — should control their personal medical decisions. Congratulations! 🥳🎊
