Such a disappointing remark from the asm of my district. Students in his district’s rural schools do not have access to the resources nor info to fill out those forms themselves. He needs to do research on the folks he “represents” to understand why his POV is so problematic.

My brother is in 6th grade and is not doing well in math but he LOVES history and watches historical documentaries (on his own). He is honestly the smartest kid I know. These k-12 standards really don’t embrace kids’ strengths at all and they’re really outdated.

So is the pandemic over? Are we really going back to “normal”? Are numbers really going down? Or are less people getting tested now that more people are getting vaccines? Or is it that the weather has been nice lately and people want to go out and about? Either way, masks plz.

I cannot believe we are in Sept! This is a big year for my hubby and I. Let me recap: we got a puppy (Canelo) in Feb., received keys for our new home in April, baptized our nephew in May, and we're ending the year with the arrival of our babygirl due in Nov! Feeling so #Blessed

Amazing first week back EdInsights from my 24 week maternity leave. I feel grateful to have been able to take my full leave. Now that I am back, I feel incredibly supported and welcomed as a new mother. ❤️

Happy Monday! What a wild April morning. Is “April showers bring May flowers” still a thing? Or is this weather just teasing us of the good times we used to have pre-climate change?

Y’all. DACA recipients can’t continue living court ruling to court ruling. It’s too much not knowing whether you’ll be able to keep building on the life you have because of DACA. It’s never been enough and DACA recipients, among millions more!, deserve stability and permanence.

Transfer students are an incredible asset to California's institutions of higher education. Check out this report that presents findings from a project I worked on last year that highlights past and existing intersegmental transfer partnership efforts. #HigherEd
