The comeback we all needed

Visiting at the family house. Someone brought out the Bananagrams Inc. game, after years in storage. After winning several rounds, I got abandoned. Now I remember why we don't play it anymore. 😅

Life is about semplang after semplang. There's very little poise each time, if any, no matter how many times you find yourself flat on the floor. Hopefully, each time, we rise with a bit more grace, humor, self-compassion. And embrace how we can't control everything.

When we moved to Novaliches, we really did not see what the future held for us. We still have good reason to stay here, but next week needs me to teleport to Makati and BGC for several days. Fun.

I got an F on my midterm in Korean History taught by a Japanese history professor at Yale. He said Asians were Math and Science majors. I was majoring in History. I wrote a novel called “Pachinko” which is now taught in Japanese history classes, as well as other disciplines.

My Twitter account has been alive for 16 years now. Yeah, it took me by surprise too. I've seen it from the early days when we were all speaking into the void, and have returned to find a creator economy on full force. I guess it's seen me figuring life out along the way too.
