The Bayview Glen #BVGgrads2023 were proudly showing off their choices of university yesterday at our annual #WearYourColours day. There are plenty of celebrations planned in the days to come, but this was a great way to start congratulating them on their achievements.

The #BVGgrads2023 have chosen to attend a wide range of universities and programmes, reflecting the grads' uniqueness. From one side of Canada to another, and Brown University, Emory University, Penn, and USC in the US, Bayview Glen will be well represented!

#BVGgrads2023 will attend 9 of the 14 Canadian universities named in the Times Higher Education THE Impact Rankings (measures a uni’s performance in advancing the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals). Grads: go there and apply the Bayview Glen core values and Round Square IDEALS.

The purpose of liberal arts education is not to build your career. It’s to broaden your mind. You don’t have to justify a major based on job prospects. The only explanation necessary is “it interests me.” The true value of college is improving your ability to think and learn.

IYKYK, I can't take a vacation and not make a uni visit or two! What a wonderful day it was exploring Cambridge University in July.

My recent vacation also led to stops at a couple of Spanish unis: Universitat de Barcelona and Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Both with stunning architecture and surrounded by history.
