Congratulations to our Year 4 Netbasket team who competed with passion and determination at the first Shoreham cluster event of the year. The team showed their attacking and defending ability against counterparts from other Shoreham schools, shooting some superb baskets!

Today, Reception were visited by West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service . During the visit the children learnt all about the role of a fire-fighter, fire appliances at home, hazards and the ‘Get out, stay out, call 999’ fire safety procedure. It was great to meet real-life heroes!

Reception have started their welly walks down in our amazing woodland area! This year we have purchased a Puddlesuit for every child. This means we can go on our walk- whatever the weather!

Reception were visited by Henry and Harry the hedgehogs! Graham Bowring from Saint Francis Animal Care Hedgehog Rescue Centre led the session, teaching the children all about the life a hedgehog. Thank you to Graham for letting us meet Henry and Harry 🦔

This term Reception classes have been developing their roles as geographers. During our trip to Buckingham Park the children completed a spotter sheet to identify human and physical features and we took part in a 'natural treasures' leaf hunt! Thank you to our parent helpers🍂

Reception had their first 'stay and do' maths session! Parents and carers were able to join in with maths activities and see what their children have been learning. We'd like to thank everyone for their continued support.

Reception have had a SUPER start to the term! Today we celebrated the beginning of our new topic 'Superheroes'. We are also going to be learning about real-life heroes like Doctors, Vets and many more!

In Reception have been learning about Chinese New Year and the way some people celebrate. We created our very own Chinese restaurant and enjoyed some delicious food!

A huge thank you to everyone involved in our Daffodil Breakfast event! Our Reception children had such a wonderful time with their families and were so proud of their Spring bonnets.

Reception had their stay and do this week with an Art focus! They have been learning about famous Artists and the different techniques they liked to use. The children were able to show their grown ups their painting, drawing and collage skills.🎨

Reception had an amazing afternoon playing at Buckingham Park on Tuesday. They had a surprise visit from Mr. Everitt's Ice Cream van too!

Reception had a spectacular splash day! We're not sure who had the most fun... the children or Mrs. Dalziel?

Reception explored the woods for the first time today! We were very excited to use the mud kitchen, build dens and spot signs of Autumn. We had so much fun! 🍂
