Traffic has been temporarily stopped on the #M23 northbound between J9 London Gatwick LGW
and J8 ( #M25 ) due to a collision

⚠️ We are currently in attendance at a road traffic collision on the M23 northbound near Gatwick.

The road is closed near junction 9 and the M25. Please avoid the area.

UPDATE

The #A23 remains closed southbound between #M23 J11 and #B2115 following an earlier vehicle fire and spillage.

The lanes are currently being assessed for whether resurfacing is required.

There is approx. 1 mile of slow moving traffic on approach to closure.

Traffic is stopped on the #A23 southbound between the #B2114 ( #Handcross ) and #B2115 ( #Warninglid ) due to a car fire.

Emergency services and Traffic Officers on scene.

There are 3 miles of congestion on approach so please allow extra journey time.

⚠️ Our crews from Crawley Fire are at the scene of a vehicular fire on the A23 Southbound at the Handcross slip road.

All Southbound lanes are closed leading to significant delays. Please allow extra time when you travel and avoid the area if possible. ⚠️
