Miss Kari, a Brockport resident, and her day care kids brought a homemade surprise to Brockport Firefighters just as they returned from a fire call. Their visit could not have been more timely.

Brockport FFs are responding to a number of calls, all different in nature. Thus far there have been no injuries. Please be careful on the roads as they are slick and visibility is variable depending on location and wind.

Our deepest condolences to Warsaw FD on the passing of Past Chief & EMS Capt Todd MacConnell. Todd also previously served as Deputy Coordinator for Wyoming County OEM & was currently the County Director of IT. Our thoughts are with you, his family & friends.

The NWS Buffalo has issued a Wind Advisory for our area until 12/28 at 4pm: Winds 20 to 30 mph w/gusts of 50 mph that could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down & power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially high profile vehicles.

Brockport FFs are on scene of a three-car MVA between Sherry La & Transit Way. To maintain a safe area for responders, Brockport-Spencerport Road is CLOSED to all traffic in that area. No thru traffic will be allowed. Please find an alternate route in the area for the time being.

UPDATED road closure: REDMAN RD is closed for approx three hours between White Rd and Country View La. Barricades are in place. There is no thru traffic as National Grid US replaces a pole and downed lines from an MVA (with no injuries).

⚠️ The NWS Buffalo has issued a winter weather advisory for our area for periods of sleet, freezing rain and snow. Roads in our area are already covered with ice and more is expected. Please use extreme caution and pay attention to changing road conditions.

At tonight’s Commissioners mtg, Fire Chief Menear & Asst. Chief Medina will be sworn in for a 2nd term, & Deputy Chief Elect S. Wainwright rejoins the Chief’s line (commencing the retirement of Deputy Chief S. Smith) Captains, Lieutenants & other officers will also be sworn in.
