The bill still lacks safeguards to protect the vulnerable and allows any future Government to alter the founding principles of our precious NHS. In Hackney we know the value of end of life care at St Joseph's Hospice-we need investment in palliative care not state-assisted dying.

GCIL is urging MSPs to vote NO as they debate Stage 3 of the #AssistedDying bill. Yes, disabled people hold a range of views but many are worried about risks. Disabled people deserve dignity, support and protection to live well. Until safeguards are stronger MSPs should vote No.

Hoping with all my heart that colleagues in the Scottish Parliament vote down the assisted dying bill before then tonight. The bill is full of holes and will do no matter job of protecting vulnerable people from coercion than the Westminster bill.
