RenderMan in Gaffer is soooooooo good.

Finally going to finish this portrait. I was waiting for RenderMan in Gaffer to be (mostly) ready. Still a ton of texturing and grooming left to do, but I wanted to get the scene set up. Gaffer is handling it like a champ, rock solid and easy access to all RenderMan features.

ZBrush 2026 is a powerful update that features a brand new logo and also costs more than Houdini.🙂

USD having a plain text format is such a lifesaver. Interoperability between apps would be a nightmare otherwise.

Uhhhhh, in Blender the hair curve selection color is the same as the background gradient. That's... awful. 😆

Groom done! I was happy with Blender the whole time. There's some odd UI stuff, but overall everything works and is very stable. Geometry Nodes are a huge help when it comes to customizing attributes for export. Now it's texturing time!

The tireless Gaffers devs just released 1.6.1.0, an unassuming point release with SIXTEEN items in the changelog. And they're all notable improvements, not just fixed typos or something. So good!
