This week I joined Liberal Democrat colleagues in calling on the Chancellor to exempt those providing vital health and care services from the rise in Employer National Insurance contributions.

Fundamentally there is a shortage of training posts, wildly undersupplying the NHS with resident doctors and consultants of the future. That is the source of the problem, not the nationality or PMQ of the doctors competing for training posts. Shocking workforce planning failure.

Exactly this 👇 If you are offered poor rates, NO is a complete sentence And organised attempts to lower pay, should be met with organised attmepts to take action to ensure it is restored and we are paid what we are worth

As soon as the pay award was announced we wrote to the Secretary of State demanding negotiations; the DDRB changes have been ignored and the journey to pay restoration well and truly stalled. We've heard nothing. We want to talk but continued silence should inform your vote.
