“[God] chose us . . . that we should be holy and blameless before him”(Eph. 1:4). Our challenge in Christian living is to increasingly match our practice to our position. God chose you in Christ to make you “holy and blameless” in His sight. To be blameless is to be pure like Him

“If I have walked with falsehood and my foot has hastened to deceit; (Let me be weighed in a just balance, and let God know my integrity!”)

There is nothing simple in the human soul or human life, only one thing is simple and that is the relationship of the individual soul to God, “sincere and pure devotion to Christ”(2 Cor. 11:3). The only way to live is in personal relationship to God, rooted and grounded in God

“Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope”(Eph. 3:20). “I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection! But I keep working

“ . . .who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree”(1 Pet. 2:24). He made redemption the foundation of human life, that is, He made a way for every person to have fellowship with God. The reason salvation is so easy to obtain is that is cost God so much

“Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ “(Eph. 4:15). Truth suffers even within the church, don’t forget that true love flourishes only in the atmosphere of biblical truth(Phil.1:9)

“I am not my own; I am bought with a price”(1 Cor. 6:19-20). Keep that sterling note in front of your soul, your heart and mind. The test of Jesus Christ salvation is that it produces Christlikeness, a life of absolute simplicity before God. Let us be what will satisfy Him

“Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands . . . begun to wash the disciples’ feet”(Jn 13:3-5). It takes God incarnate to wash feet properly. It takes God incarnate to do anything properly. Never limit God by remembering what you have done in the past

“By [faith] the people of old received their commendation”(Heb. 11:2). God makes his approval known to those who trust Him. Many acknowledge God but try to gain his approval through self-righteous deeds apart from true faith. In either case the results are the same: no assurance

No matter how weak or ill-equipped you may at times feel, realize that God “is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think according to the power at work within [you]”( Eph. 3:20) So keep striving according to that power(Col.1:29) God will accomplish it

“The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent”(Acts 17:30). Spiritual maturity is not reached by the passing of the years, but by obedience. Sin destroys the power of knowing that we sin, repent!

“Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults”(Ps. 19:12) We cannot understand ourselves, we do not know the beginnings of our dreams or motives, we do not know our secret errors, they lie below the region we can’t get to. My soul yearns for you in the night

“Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, . . . and you will find rest for your souls”(Mt. 11:29; 1 Tim. 6:1; Acts 15:10). The Spirit of God teaches us to bear the yoke of Christ even under the yoke of a tyrant. Wear the yoke of Christ under every other yoke

“He calls his own . . . by name”(Jn. 10:3). Does He know me? It is possible to know all about the doctrine and still not know Him(Jesus). “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His suffering, being conformed to His death”(Phil.3:10)

For Christ did not please himself, but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.”(Rm. 15:3)His ultimate purpose was to please God and accomplish his will, it is this stage of spiritual experience that brings us into touch with the spirit of Jesus

The proper perspective to maintain is that we are here for only one purpose, to be captives marching in the proper procession of Christ’s triumphs (2 Cor. 2:14). We are here to exhibit one thing the “captivity to the obedience of Christ”(2 Cor. 10:5)

“ . . . my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death”(Phil. 1:20) My best for His glory, I am determined to be absolutely, entirely for Him alone

“ . . . though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved”(2 Cor. 12:15) Natural human love expect something in return. The real test of a believer is not one’s willingness to preach the gospel but one’s willingness to to do something like washing disciples’ feet
