The #Penlee Lifeboat disaster occurred 42 years ago today. Launching to the aid of the coaster Union Star after her engines failed in heavy seas. Tragically, 8 lifeboat volunteers & 8 crew on the Union Star all lost their lives. Gone but never forgotten, today we honour them.⚓️💙

If you’re ever in Fowey or Polruan, or indeed the surrounding areas, you couldn’t do much better than book the 0900, 2 hour sea safari. It’s not often I get driven around in a boat, but this was bloody amazing! It was alive with wildlife. Early birthday pressie for Gracie.

Very sad if it comes to selling the contents, that collection will never be seen again.
