Sincere question: if you are going to order a PE study on a patient even if the D-dimer comes back negative, why are you ordering the D-dimer?

In case anyone was wondering just how insane Republicans are: In the state of Tennessee, they’re trying to ban a book about seahorses, claiming it ā€˜normalizes gender fluidity & the idea that males can get pregnant.’ This is where we are folks.

Dr. Glaucomflecken Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield UnitedHealthcare Cigna Healthcare Aetna Besides therapies that are considered standard of care, they deny testing that could actually save them money by allowing us to proactively monitor and adjust therapies: therapeutic drug monitoring, calprotectin, and CRP.

Hey McAlister's Deli Medical Laboratory Professionals Week is April 23rd-29th. We are the team behind the scenes running all lab work for patients. Without us, doctors are just guessing. Does your company offer any promotions like you do during nurses' week? #MedLabWeek

Tis that amazing time of year where I get to congratulate new Medical Laboratory Scientists who are graduates of the UCF #MedLabSci program. Hearing their excitement over passing their board exam is such a wonderful feeling.

May I humbly disagree. ā€œBattlingā€ insurance assumes that there is a fighting chance. Insurers set the rules, break the rules, and at worst, settle years later (after most practices —not to mention patients —can’t float the cash to survive a prolonged lawsuit/appeal process).
