Im want a general election as soon as possible because I want the 2024 Tory party out, quicker they leave the better as they seem to cause more problems every day they are in office.

But I have no enthusiasm to vote for Labour (or Lib Dems). I've no faith in their attitudes

I’m blind & I just had to say my voting choices out loud in the middle of my polling station.

Voting is inaccessible for many blind & visually impaired people.

Blind citizens deserve accessible, private & independent participation in democracy.

Earlier this week, work and pensions secretary Mel Stride said that the Personal Independence Payment β€œis thousands of pounds a month”.

This is incorrect. Those receiving the highest possible weekly amount of PIP get around Β£800 a month.

If anyone's interested in the facts, when Labour came to power in 97, UK national debt was 38.2% of GDP. After ten years of improving living standards and public services, it fell to 34.7%.

By Dec 2019, before Covid, the Tories increased it to 84.8%. It is now 98.3%

Thanks to Trades Union Congress for this compilation - people have always reckoned that others are workshy. (Tip, if you can't find enough workers, raise wages, or mechanise. There is no third option). 1/2

83% of schools don't have enough money to maintain their buildings.

Meanwhile, this is the Β£42 million, luxury plane David Cameron chose to hire with taxpayers' money.

Hard as it is to believe when reading the news, the homicide rate in London has *halved* over the past 20 years.

In the past two decades London has gained 1.7 million extra residents and yet the annual number of homicides has gone down from 212 in 2003 to 110 in 2023.

If this was a genuine health drive or if they thought this would be better, cheaper or easier to administer, they would also be talking about swapping some of the state pension for vouchers. This is nothing but a shameless attack on some of society's most vulnerable members.

At work we are considering taking a risk with a new training offer, it has risks with it and that is always scary. But if it gets the green light it will be very exciting.

What I find so annoying about Sunak's speech yesterday is that there were plenty of people during the acute phase of the pandemic who warned that letting lots of the population get sick would have a detrimental impact on the economy - they just didn't want to know.

Almost exactly 100 years ago, the weekend was won and the five-day, 40 hour working week was born.

Despite massive growth in technology and worker productivity since, we are still working a very similar amount of hours as we were 100 years ago.

It's time for a four-day week!

I'm always happy to read the survey, loads of good info. I just wish they added some more granular info on what methods correlate to higher student satisfaction. It feels like a missed opportunity to improve practice.

'If you're under 25 your brain isn't fully developed, so you can't be trusted to make informed decisions'

I'm seeing this a LOT lately, especially today. And it's utter guff, based on hearsay, misunderstandings of neuroscience, or wilful ignorance.

Why? I'll tell you why
