Thank goodness for the kindness of strangers. Whose idea was it to allow kids under 5 to travel for free on CrossCountry Trains but not give them a seat reservation? So stressful trying to sit together as a family on a busy train, and he’s much too heavy to sit on my lap for 4 hours.

It was absolutely brilliant! My 4yo son (whose father is Deafblind) was blown away to see an actor on stage with a cane like Daddy. And the tenderness between Beatrice and Benedick warmed the whole theatre. A must-see! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👋🏻👋🏻

“What I’ve learned about the Deaf community... it’s a beautiful place. I wish someone had sat us down and told us when he was 16.” - John Bishop It’s so crucial for the families of #Deaf children to learn #BSL & meet Deaf adults. Not try to “fix” their child. #LifeAndDeaf

Dear BBC, This is the first year the UK has hosted #Eurovision since #BritishSignLanguage was recognised in law as a language of Great Britain 🇬🇧 Can we make 2023 the year you provide #BSL interpreters so that #Deaf audiences can sing along to #Eurovision2023 too? 🤞🙏🤟

Hey World Federation of the Deaf there is no such thing as neutrality when power or oppression is at play. If you state that you're neutral, you take the side of the oppressor. Human rights aren't pick and mix either, you can't seek to use whilst disregarding other rights. You use public funds.

The Labour Party Disability Labour The UK #Deaf community is desperately hoping that Sir Keir Starmer will be standing beside a #BSL interpreter when he addresses the nation for the first time today. British Deaf Association has an interpreter ready and waiting outside No. 10. Please work with them!

Lauren Fletcher-Harris (@msloloj) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Our new PM @keir_starmer pledged today outside UK Prime Minister that the The Labour Party government would treat “every single person in this country with respect.” Does that pledge include #Deaf people? Where was the #BSL interpreter as he addressed the UK public for the first time?
