We need more attention to the general lack of qualitative literacy among social scientists. —Positivism is not the philosophical paradigm being applied here, so selection bias is irrelevant. —The sampling strategy is theory-based, not probability-based. It’s done correctly.

Me as a professor on the first day of class: “let’s do some ice breakers! It will be fun! I have a cute affirming comment for all your responses!” Me as faculty: “if we have to do ice breakers at this meeting I’m going to stab myself and make a scene.”

I wish the #NHS would offer #endometriosis sufferers regular check ups & keep them in the system instead of discharging pts & making them wait months/years to receive another apt for their debilitating chronic disease... that has no cure.

oh wow so florence pugh got diagnosed with pcos and endometriosis by a gynecologist in america and then she want back to her gynecologist in london and that gynecologist told flo that she couldn’t possibly have pcos bc she was only 27 and that she was making it up basically

Finally some encouraging #endometriosis news. Phenomenal women from FTWW Wales & Endometriosis UK Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 have created a Symptom Reporting Tool - where endo patients can track daily symptoms to show GPs or employers for reasonable adjustments. BBC Wales News 🗞️

The CDC has instructed its scientists to retract or pause the publication of any research manuscript being considered by any medical or scientific journal. The move aims to ensure that no “forbidden terms” appear in the work. Banned terms must be scrubbed.
