Genuine question: why does NASCAR throw the caution when the field is about to cross the line? I get it when they're on the backstretch or even in turns 3 & 4 for a quicker emergency response, but why when they're mere yards away from the finish?

The correct call because the yellow was out, but this is so dumb... Erik Jones won the race, but Austin Cindric is declared the winner because #NASCAR threw the yellow less than a single second from the finish line.

NASCAR’s ability to throw cautions on the last lap just a few hundred feet from the finish line needs to be studied. Like, the caution button shouldn’t even work when the cars are that close to the line.

I keep comparing today’s F1 decisions to mid-2000s NASCAR decisions. NASCAR fans know how that went. Now here’s another for F1:

At what point does someone at the team finally say enough is enough? Ik Chase and Alan like each other and all but at some point the performance on track has to out way that

Literally the same exact thing NASCAR tried to push on their fans with the low HP package. Artificial garbage racing. They actually think you’re stupid. Incredible attempt at PR here.

He nearly sent himself to Homestead in 2017 with a win here before Kenseth got him late, and he of course won in 2020. You can only get so much out of a slow car, I don't believe Elliotts the problem here
