Q: "How did you survive without cash while pitching VCs? I guess the product didn't make progress so you couldn't show traction which makes raising a first round very hard?" A: If you don't come from money, you have to learn to sacrifice. Otherwise, you won't ever get money.

There are just some months where your startup needs to solve one singular problem to make almost all your users happy to break past the next barrier for growth. So turn off all the dashboards, focus the team, put your head down, and get it done.

Plenty of startups don't start because someone else is already building the rough idea. Peter Thiel may disagree, but the vast majority of successful businesses can not avoid competition. Example: Stripe would have never started! This is business. Choose your competition.

If Elon made a model reusable rocket kids could assemble, blast off, and then tinker with later, I bet it’d inspire a lot more people over the long run to join the space race—one of his stated goals. A lot of adults would probably buy it too.

The best founders shameless ask whoever they can for help. Help with understanding things Help with hiring Help with customers Help with funding Help with prospective employees Just ask. Be shameless. Worst outcome is the person says no and you can ask someone else 🤷‍♂️

Realised that while I was job searching on LinkedIn, I really didn't have a good enough profile for people to even consider. By that I mean posts, engagement etc. Could some of you give me tips to improve? Do you just cross post ?
