According to the most recent US U.S. Surgeon General Report on tobacco, "cigarettes kill 490,000 Americans every year." That seems bad. The USSG did not write "tobacco products." He wrote "CIGARETTES": Mass-produced combustible tobacco cigarettes. (1/13) 👇

A nicotine vape device is not rocket science: Coil, wick, liquid, battery. That's it. We know more about what's in them than we know about any new craft-brewed beer. No one screams "we don't know what's in it!" when a new mango beer is released. No one claims "they target

Cigarettes kill 490,000 Americans every year. 25 million adults smoke (almost no teens smoke now). What if there was a health intervention that could reduce the number of people who smoke deadly cigarettes by 58% in just one year? Taxing it to make it less affordable and

Yah. Despite more than a dozen peer-reviewed studies that examined the impact of 'flavor' bans all over the United States... all showing those bans caused sales of DEADLY CIGARETTES to increase, policymakers still think this is a good idea. jamanetwork.com/journals/jamap…

Sin taxes are like any other human endeavor. There is a point of declining marginal returns on added investments in anything, including coercive policies. After the tipping point, it's increasingly bad policy...
