Leaders experience emotional distress when they can’t help with staffing and work overload. So focus also on giving staff voice, justice and fairness, better conditions, self rostering, improving teamwork, better supervision meetings and education and training. That helps.

Speak up month - speaking up for everyone. Leading by example, creating that psychological safe space for people to speak up, listening with no judgement and following up with positive action. Always learning and improving.

The more our staff tell us the more we have an opportunity to act. The staff survey is completely confidential it is outsourced so the trust can not identify individuals having their say.
