When someone suffers a severe burn, their skin will be overwhelmingly sensitive, even to a gentle breeze. When we suffer trauma, our nervous system will be overwhelmingly sensitive, even to "little" triggers. We don't heal by denying, ignoring, or hating on our sensitivity.
