The police's overriding purpose is, and always will be, the preservation of an order that serves the status quo. Any actions that present a perceived threat are met with unsympathetic authoritarian force

After 40 days of strike action, tomorrow British Gas will dismiss workers who have refused to sign their fire and rehire contracts. They have led from the front and stood against a bullying employer. The CWU is with you RT if you stand with the British Gas workers.

What a surprise that the Home Office is including small boat arrivals in its irregular migration statistics, despite 98% claiming asylum...one can only wonder why they want to elide asylum with irregular migration
