Instead of fixing inflation and mounting debt, Egypt's president el-Sissi is trying to eliminate opponents ahead of December elections. We condemn the sentencing of Hisham Kassem & others and call for the release of those arbitrarily detained. Egypt needs a healthy democracy!

We strongly condemn the terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas against Israeli civilians. We call for immediate deescalation. The lack of concrete steps towards peace can only produce recurrent violence.
