This is a classic example of #motonomartivity. We create private car storage on our public roads yet do not create storage for a form of point to point public transport forcing it onto pavements. theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/a…

The issue with agrovoltaics is that it makes immense sense but rips the bandaid off the illusion that farming is about preserving the appearance of a green countryside. In terms of biodiversity, solar panels create a net gain. They just look shit.

Interesting that there were no apologies from all the people who said that the Elizabeth Line would be a white elephant and a total waste of money. Despite this, we've allowed their opinions to ruin HS2 and basically guarantee it's failure

Default 20mph limits are a win/win for both insurers and drivers in this analysis of the reductions in claims and premiums in Wales from an insurance injury perspective. The scale of benefit is £90m pa in reduced premiums for the 2m drivers in Wales. #20splenty for insurers and

We have extrapolated the 25% reduction in casualties on Welsh urban/village roads since implementing a default 20mph onto the English casualty record for 2024. It equates to 15,000 fewer casualties and a £2bn a year reduction in insurance premiums. See 20splenty.org/gb2024stats

The role of the government (Heidi Alexander MP) in maintaining high car insurance prices needs to be highlighted. A one line legislation change(default 20mph) would see £2 Billion wiped off the insurance costs of motorists and 15,000 fewer NHS A&E admissions. 20splenty.org/gb2024stats

🚗💰 Zürich in favour for parking fees by weight Fees in residential “blue zones” will now depend on car weight. This means heavier cars will pay more — a step designed to align urban mobility with sustainability. [1/3]

Live in England? Would you like a £50 reduction in your insurance. If England had followed Wales in 2023 with its national 20mph adoption it would have also saved 30,000 casualties over last 2 years and reduced insurance costs by £2bn for drivers bit.ly/4gIBPlJ

It's more important that we use the term #BrexitBoats rather than #FarageBoats. It's clear that The Labour Party needs to politically destroy Reform UK but the underlying issue does not go away unless we #RejoinEU and remove the incentive to get to the UK by boat.

Pavement parking needs banning. I’m severely sight impaired with a guide dog and a child — we shouldn’t have to walk in traffic because someone wanted a convenient spot. If you can’t park somewhere it’s safe for everyone, then you can’t park. It’s Simple really.
