Monday bat! The whiskered bat (Myotis mystacinus) is relatively common in Europe, but more scarce in the southern parts of its distribution! 🤔
In #Catalonia this species is only found in Pyrenean forests, usually near water bodies and riparian areas!

Another bat, this time a #migratory species, the lesser noctule or Leisler's bat (Nyctalus leisleri)! 🦇
The smallest #noctule species, in Catalonia is abundant in pine forests, and can be easily monitored when it forms its mating harems in bat boxes!
