GM🤍 What makes an artist's work unique besides how it ends up looking?🧐 I think this is the path that has been taken. It's often left behind the scenes, but it's as much a part of the production as the editing... Let me tell you how the shooting of "Shadows inside" went.🖊

1. The place where we had a photo shoot caught my eye long before the very idea of the collection appeared. I definitely decided to use it, but I didn’t know how exactly yet. After the idea of the collection crystallized, we went to the ruins of a Christian church in Cappadocia.

2. There were six of us - my husband and I, our friends and their grandparents. Everyone took part and played their part. Grandmother sewed a mantle with a hood, my friend Nastya agreed to be a model. The only thing left to do was to find this place.

3. Local taxi drivers drove us around Cappadocia for two hours, assuring us that we ourselves would never find this location. They even sometimes consulted local gendarmes for importance. As a result, we got tired of it, and after 15 minutes, we accidentally went there ourselves.

4. It is difficult to convey our first impressions of what we saw. A beautiful and majestic “architectural iceberg” that takes you beyond time and space. In the cool shadow of these ruins, it seemed as if the world outside did not exist. We looked around the area, and set to work

5. All seven hours of the photo shoot flashed by unnoticed. It wasn't until we got back to the hotel that we realized how tired we really were. Now, it was possible to relax and already begin to remember how it was.

6. How a couple of times we were unexpectedly interrupted by the newlyweds for a couple of Instagram photos, how we were looking for a horse that we wanted to attract for a photo shoot, but didn’t find it, and a lot of more interesting moments…

7. There is a lot going on behind the scenes. A fragment of a real story filled with life and emotions, laughter of friends, adventures, overcoming difficulties. One can only hope that, a part of all this is forever imprinted in the work itself and lives in it forever.🤍
