The labour movement mourns the loss of Gary Parent, a dedicated trade unionist and former Windsor District president. As we honour his legacy, our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. 🌹

Congratulations to the tenacious members of CUPE 1490, who have reached a tentative agreement with the Township of Black River-Matheson after holding strong for six long months! Looking forward to your return to work delivering great public services in your community.

As an educated woman I’d expect more of you than this. Do you own two homes? If so, you are indeed rich. Taxes aren’t PENALTIES. They are how a thoughtful society supports its citizens and creates fiscal efficiency... by eliminating the profit factor.

Without trade unions we wouldn't have:

• Annual leave
• Sick pay
• A two day weekend
• Maternity leave
• Protection from workplace discrimination
• 8 hour working days
• Redundancy pay
• A minimum wage
• Health and safety in the workplace
• Workplace pensions

Please someone ask Lecce how this cellphone policy is different than what we he did in 2019.

This is what he did in 2019:

Minden Paper Jenny From the Block(ed List) We remember the ‘creating a crisis’ minister of education. The province uploaded education during his party’s common sense revolution in the late 90’s. The current government is starving education & healthcare simultaneously.

Annie Kidder Metro Morning David Common Elementary Educators OSSTF Communications Catholic Teachers The Minister already tried to put a ban in place in 2019. This is nothing more than a desperate attempt to distract Ontario families from the fact that the Ford government has cut billions from our schools and is proposing to spend less on education in 2024 than in 2017.

Quasi-daily reminder that Hospitals do not close permanently or temporarily due to a lack of staffing.

Hospitals, in particular, close due to lack of political will. If Ford wanted this region to have access to care, they would have it.

But they don't, what's that tell you?
