I remember when we learned this, & then the CDC rolled back public health protections & we “accepted exposure.” “An in-silico study predicted that pancreatic adenocarcinoma was the most likely cancer to occur following infection with SARS-CoV-2.” ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…

Ok, but aside from affecting lungs, heart, blood vessels, brain, gut, liver, kidneys, pancreas, immune cells, eyes, gonads, placenta, and mitochondria, and infecting people year-round and repeatedly, SARS-CoV-2 is just a textbook seasonal virus like colds or flu.

Recorded this video on the microscope yesterday. A single #SARSCoV2 infected cell arrives on the brain inside a blood vessel. Don't underestimate how much neuroinflammation one infected cell can cause. Brain-vascular-immune interface is the future of neuroscience #NeuroCovid

So here we are today, with several variant-driven waves of infection/yr, at unpredictable intervals. The virus is evolving faster than ever before, and vaccines aren't slowing its evolution. We haven't reached the endemic state (see screenshots). It's a volatile situation. (11/

Important 🧵on our new peer-reviewed paper: The pandemic is as bad as it ever was for babies - in year to Aug 2023, 6,300 babies under 1 were admitted to hospital wholly or partly BECAUSE of Covid. They are ONLY age group where admissions have NOT gone down over time 1/17
