This is disgusting. I read this with a sense of dismay that someone this performatively cruel is in a position with so much power to make the lives of some of Britain’s most desperate, vulnerable people a lot more miserable. As if they’d just choose not to be homeless instead.

Echo chambers, fuelled by social media filter bubbles, in which people are mostly exposed to views which agree with their own, not only undermines social cohesion, it also undermines our democracies which depend on being able to understand viewpoints differing to our own.
