What a retrograde step that would be for many reasons, not least that it will inevitably pile extra pressure on teachers and do nothing to help recruitment and retention.

If I were HMCI I would avoid putting in place any system that placed teachers and leaders under more pressure. It’s really not hard to do, but I fear that is exactly what is going to happen.

Saw a post by someone (can’t remember who) saying the new #Ofsted report card’s like an APP grid. Been looking at it & you know, they’re right - & we all remember the nightmare of filling those things in and making an accurate judgement! Good luck to both schools & inspectors.
