Tremendous effort by Guilherme Povala Tharick Pascoal working with many others to harmonize tau PET. Some upfront work needed by users and independent evaluation underway, but check out their visual calculator they made unitau.app Really looking forward to the

Thank you for the support, Prof. Melissa E. Murray 📸🔬.

In Nature Medicine, we show: 1. P-tau262 & P-tau356 as markers of pre-tangle tau pathology; 2. Identify a core region that defines soluble tau assemblies (STA); and 3. Validate CSF STA assay in autopsy & tau PET cohorts. Congrats to all coauthors! nature.com/articles/s4159…

Very happy to share that our paper linking genetic risk for ADHD to more severe dementia is out! Thank you Douglas Leffa for the trust in this project, and Tharick Pascoal for the guidance.

🎉Exciting news! We’re proud to have 2 of our papers ranked among the top 10% most-viewed in 2023 in Alzheimer's & Dementia Journals Alzheimer's Association 🔗Plasma p-tau231 & p-tau217: alz-journals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/al… 🔗BBB integrity & use of plasma Aβ: alz-journals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/al…

New from our lab! 🧪✨ Pascoal Lab Led by my brilliant co-supervisor Bruna Bellaver, this study shows that plasma GFAP can help enrich clinical trials in preclinical Alzheimer’s disease—cutting costs by up to 64% and identifying those most likely to show tau progression.

Down Syndrome (DS) is associated with early-onset Alzheimers disease (AD) and sometimes considered a genetic form of AD. Our recent published paper explores neuroinflammation in the aging process of AD with PET. dx.doi.org/10.1002/alz.70… Alzheimer's Association

An amazing week in 🇫🇷, surrounded by inspiring science, dear friends, and long-time collaborators. Taking part in FBEM was a truly special and rewarding experience. Many thanks to the organizing committee for the warm welcome, especially Anne-Karine Bouzier-Sore. See you soon in 🇧🇷!
