In this paper led by my grad student Przemek in Gothenburg, we describe p-tau212 as a new blood biomarker for Alzheimer’s disease 🩸.
- Plasma p-tau212 had same accuracies as p-tau217.
- P-tau212 antibody stained tangle structures in postmortem brains.

In our paper Nature Communications, we evaluated whether AD 🩸 biomarkers could aid in selecting memory clinic patients who’d more likely prognostically benefit from undergoing tau-PET, with p-tau217 performing best
