At the beginning of the year, I'm reflecting on "busyness". It's an affliction for many of us. Being busy means we don't have time for things that really matter to us or we miss important opportunities. Some organisations view busyness as a marker of leadership success. Busyness

Consistency before intensity. Start small and become the kind of person who shows up every day. Build a new identity. Then increase the intensity.

Good advice from #AlisonFragale’s book #LikeableBadass. Start with the end in mind❗️ At your retirement, what are the: ▪️Top 3 contributions you want people to remember? ▪️Top 3 characteristics you want people to remember about you? Act today with your future self in mind.

Many people stagnate trying to change what they can't instead of growing by changing what they can. We don't control how others treat us—we control how we treat them. We don't decide what happens to us—we decide how we respond. Our reputation is not up to us. Our character is.

Our greatest regrets are rarely failures to reach our goals. They're usually failures to uphold our values. Few people wish they'd been more ambitious. Many wish they'd been more courageous and generous. Success lies in building a career. Fulfillment lies in building character.
