Common centaury is growing in some abundance by the balancing ponds next to the A90 at Maryculter. 2nd Kincardineshire record and doubtless introduced during construction. Thanks to Aberdeenshire Council Council staff for the tip-off.
A flying visit to Lancashire to monitor a moorland restoration scheme. Great views across to Morecombe Bay and the Lake District, and good to see Mountain Fern, the last few flowers of Bell Heather and plenty of Sphagnum in the wetter areas.
