Today marks one year since I came back to 🇧🇩 as British High Commissioner.

I’ve visited many fantastic places, met great people and hosted many UK visitors, including our Trade Minister.

I’ve seen how strong the #BritBanglaBondhon is. I know we can make it even stronger.

The UK is saving lives by investing in Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights.

Our new £5.83m investment will support grassroots organisations, strengthen local midwifery, and improve emergency transport systems.

I’ve enjoyed being a tourist in Dhaka this weekend.

We did a fantastic heritage walk in Old Dhaka with usg.dhaka. I really enjoyed seeing all the historical buildings and the Baldah Garden. Our young volunteer guides were brilliant - so knowledgeable, passionate and inspiring!
