The #1 skill missing from today’s athlete is mental toughness. Refusing to hold oneself accountable to individual and team goals. Blaming others for circumstances. Not fighting through adversity. Pouting and poor body language. Physical skill can only take you so far. Get tough!

• alumni
• fri night football games / performances

Sports are important but you only get 4 years of high school, make sure they are memorable.

Most disagreements between players and coaches start due to misunderstood or miscommunicated expectations. Players listen for any cue you give them and if it is a mixed message, they will connect any dots they can. Be clear and direct, not ambiguous.

High school coaching is not for the weak. It’s countless hours spent in this field. It’s not just a show up and coach on game days. There’s so much more behind the scenes that high school coaches do that goes unnoticed by many.

The best coach isn’t always the one:

• With the best players
• With the best ranking
• With the most wins

The best coaches are those that do more with less, change the lives of their athletes for the better and teach the importance of character.

Stop running away from:

• tough coaches
• difficult teachers who challenge you
• a trainer that pushes you
• parents who don’t let you quit

RUN TOWARDS THEM.
The easy route is usually the one in which you don’t grow.
