There are four species of robberfly recorded in Ireland. These include: Dune Robberfly (philonicus albiceps), Irish Robberfly (Machimus cowini), Common Awl Robberfly (Neoitamus cyanurus) and Dioctria baumhaueri was recorded in 2015.
