We were pleased to hear from Jim Shannon MP, Lord (David) Alton, representatives from Aid to the Church in Need UK, and victims of religious persecution from Pakistan and North Korea at today's #RedWednesday event held in the Jubilee Room in Parliament. APPG FoRB stand with persecuted Christians worldwide.
On Monday, together with the Parliamentary Officer for CSW_UK, we delivered a letter to FCDO Secretary David Lammy on behalf of Jim Shannon MP, requesting a meeting to discuss the urgent need to re-appoint a permanent UK Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion or Belief.
APPG FoRB meeting with ADF International & Pastor Youssef highlighted a critical issue: the fight for religious freedom in Algeria. The Pastor told of his arrest & conviction for “illegal worship”. His courage underscores the need for global unity in defending the right to worship freely.
