Jews are in the Bible. "Jew" comes from Yehudi (יהודי), which was used generically to refer to Hebrews. Esther 2:5, "Now there was a Jew in Susa ... a Benjaminite." "Jew" here is "Yehudi." It refers to a Benjaminite and not a Judahite, showing Yehudi's broader generic use.
