Every time I hear: "This 2h meeting of 20 senior people is really expensive" I wonder who is asking about: "This quarter with dozens of engineers stuck waiting for each other with high WIP levels, constant task switching and needles rework that must cost a fortune"

When multiple people discuss the same decision in separate groups of 2-3, the decision gets made & unmade multiple times. It is almost always better to have the bigger group meeting & make the decision once.

My ancestry: 1/4 dark blue, 2/4 light blue, 1/8 light green, 1/8 yellow-orange. Grew up in brown with a sunglasses dependency and low level cognitive dissonance about not feeling "at home". Now live in light blue/green border and am more "at home" than I've ever been. Huh.

The trick for Google is to leverage its market power, browser dominance, search dominance, operating system dominance and adtech buying/selling dominance to invent a new way to track users and then label it “privacy” in the interests of web. Much better position than Facebook.
