I’m really happy I attended the first congress of the Società Geochimica Italiana - So.Ge.I. Società Geochimica Italiana entitled “From theoretical to applied geochemistry”. It was really exciting to present our last work about the importance of cover soils in mitigating landfill VOC diffuse emissions.

Have you ever wondered which #VOCs are generated by the anaerobic digestion of green waste? The last work carried out by DST UNIFI in collaboration with Università di Urbino and AsetSpa, recently published in Detritus, will respond to this question. doi.org/10.31025/2611-…

My manuscript has been rejected. The reason? Similarity score was too high. The algorithm has counted thousands of “b.d.l” acronyms as similarity with my previous paper. I’m going to use the Batman’s symbol to describe values below detection limits.

Many thanks @SiminTihomir and iLEAPS Early Career Scientists for giving me the opportunity to share my PhD experience. I hope it can help and inspire anyone who wants to start a scientific career.

Analysing at the DST UNIFI’s labs carbon isotopic signatures of CO2 from degassing soils at #Olkaria (Kenya) to discriminate the #volcanic/#hydrothermal source from the #biogenic one. A small collaboration with a former collegue Lorenzo Cappelli at the Faculté des Sciences.

A small-scale landfill was reproduced at the DST UNIFI of the Università di Firenze together with Università di Urbino. Does inorganic and organic composition of landfill gas evolve from the landfill body to the surface? Find it out from our latest study. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Submit an abstract to our BeGEO Scientists session “Geochemistry: a precious tool to unravel dynamics of natural and anthropogenic systems, which is held in Naples (Italy) 3-6/10/23. It is made by young geoscientists for young geoscientists. begeos.it/conference/

Low-cost instruments for #CO2, #CH4, #H2S and #SO2 monitoring designed by DST UNIFI. Exploring their dynamics in #wetland environments. #PadulediFucecchio, the largest inner wetland of Italy, as an interesting case study.

So exited to have officially passed my #PhD defence!! It was a long journey decorated with a pandemic and many obstacles, but I got it and I’m thrilled for it. I’m really grateful to Prof. Tassi and Dr. Venturi DST UNIFI for their support. Looking forward to new challanges!

Very happy to have partecipated as a lecturer in the Vulcano Summer School 2023 “Sampling and Measuring Techniques of Volcanic Fluids: Science meets Practice” organized by Società Geochimica Italiana - So.Ge.I.. Very excited and honored of having worked with many international researchers and students.

The BeGEO Scientists conference is just concluded. Chatting with other young geoscientists has been inspiring. I was impressed with the interest of the audience during our session on environmental #geochemistry. I’m grateful to everyone for having made this experience fruitful.

Our latest paper is out in the J.Volcan.Geotherm.Res (#Elsevier). Find out how #CO2 release occurs at the Olkaria Volcanic Complex (Kenya). It was exciting to work with my former colleague Lorenzo Cappelli and Faculté des Sciences. (50 days free access!!) google.com/url?q=https://…

My 3-years PhD efforts finally became a paper!! How do degradation soil processes on VOCs change in different natural and anthropogenic environments? Let’s find out! doi.org/10.1016/j.scit…
